Apple Sorbet with Pistachios | Vitanja

Hello Lovelies,

did I already tell you how much I crave sweets?? 🙂 I am so obsessed with healthy sweet that I want to share more of my favorite recipes on my website. I hope you like it as much as I do!

This sorbet, on the other hand, is light, refreshing and the prefect way to welcome the summer season.

Aside from their high fiber content, apples contain a special Phytonutrient, called Pectin. It is apples´ Pectin content, a type of soluble fiber, that helps detoxify the body and even help lower cholesterol levels.

Key nutrients in apples include Vitamin C, A and B6, Potassium, Calcium, Magnesium, Beta-Carotene, Quercetin, Pectin and Chlorophyll.

Although it is not necessary to use a high-speed blender for this recipe (such as a VITAMIX), I do recommend it to create an absolutely snooth final product.



ingredients | 2 Servings

2 apples
100 ml organic apple juice
1-2 tbsp almond flour (grounded almonds)
1/2 tsp fresh vanilla
Handful pistachios for sweet Dukkah* Topping

Sweet Dukkah Topping:
1/2 tsp fresh Vanilla
1 tsp Anis
Chopped pistachios
Blend all together in a food processor.


Cook the apples without skin and chopped with juice for approximately 15 minutes. Take 3 tbsp of that and put them in a blender. Then add the almond flour, crush well. Serve in a cup of ice cream and let cool in the freezer. It must be very cold BUT without freezing.

Pour a little of the sweet Dukkah on top for decoration and extra flavour.
