Recipe: Green Keto Smoothie Bowl

Green smoothie that increases your veggie intake, hydration, promotes weightloss, improves digestion, and rejuvenates body – you won’t know it until you haven’t tried it.

Smoothies are kind of amazing. Vitanja’s keto smoothies are creamy, sweet and crunchy but contain absolutely no processed sugar, and that – and here is the best part – teach your body to easily burn fat for fuel!

INGREDIENTS
Half a large avocado
1 cup spinach
1 ½ cups coconut milk
½ tsp cinnamon
1 tsp xylitol
Handful of ice

INSTRUCTIONS
Place all ingredients in a high speed blender, adding the ice last.
Blend for 1 minute or until smooth and creamy.
Pour into a bowl and sprinkle with your favorite low-carb toppings.
I have used shredded coconut, chia seeds, fresh raspberries and bee polen for some extra crunchiness and surprise with every bite, and nutritional value: Bee pollen contain more protein than any animal source and more amino acids than equal weight of eggs or beef.

Serves 1 person, and whoever will be served, s/he will ask for more. 

Great Ideas for Smoothie Bowl Toppings
Pick your toppings and arrange in neat lines or sprinkle over the top with random flair.

  • bee polen
  • blueberries, strawberries, raspberries
  • cocao nibsor cocao powder
  • macadamia nuts, almonds, brazil nuts, walnuts, pecans
  • shredded or desiccated coconut or flaked coconut
  • chia seeds
  • pepitas, sesame seeds or other seeds
  • dark chocolate– finely chopped or grated
  • dollop of nut butter, unsweetened
  • ground turmeric
  • ground cinnamon
  • ground flaxseeds

Note
You could add 1 bsp of MCT oil to the smoothie if you want to increase your fats. My favourite MCT oil to use for smoothies and coffee is the Bulletproof Brain Octane.
